Consignment & Current Inventory
Sell your firearms through Outdoor Arms β we handle everything
We have paused new consignments for now. We are so backlogged with the preβJuly 1 rush that we cannot get our current consigned items listed — so it would not be fair to take on more.
We plan to resume in July when we reopen. Thanks for your patience — if you have an item you would like to consign down the road, check back after our July break, or email ffl@outdoorarms.com and we will let you know when we are taking new items again.
β How Consignment Works
-
1Schedule an Appointment
Book a drop-off appointment using the link below. Before your appointment, have the following ready:
βΊ Make, model, caliber, and condition of the firearm(s)
βΊ Your desired minimum sale price or price point -
2Drop It Off
Bring the firearm in at your scheduled appointment. We inspect it, take photographs, and log it into our inventory.
-
3We Handle Everything
Once listed, we manage all buyer questions, payment processing, and outbound shipping. You don’t need to do anything β we keep you updated along the way.
-
4You Get Paid
Once the item sells and payment is received, we return the proceeds to you minus our commission and the GunBroker platform fee.
Schedule a Consignment Appointment Book a drop-off time online β come prepared with firearm details and your desired price
π Book on Calendlyβ What We Accept
We take most firearms in working condition, including:
- Modern rifles, shotguns, pistols, and revolvers β any condition from safe-queen to well-used, provided the firearm is mechanically functional and safe to handle
- NFA items β silencers, SBRs, and SBSs. As a Class 3 SOT, we can facilitate Form 3 and Form 4 transfers for consigned NFA items
- Collectibles and military surplus β including C&R-eligible firearms
Minimum sale price: $200. Our commission minimum is $20, so firearms expected to sell for less than $200 don’t usually pencil out for either of us. If you’re not sure what yours is worth, email us first β we’ll check recent GunBroker sales and give you an honest estimate.
A few things we can’t take: non-functioning firearms and items with obliterated serial numbers.
Assault firearms (HB217/SB749): yes — we can still take covered "assault firearms" on consignment after July 1, 2026. But know before you bring one in: it is a one-way door. Once the firearm is on our books, we cannot transfer it back to you — not if you change your mind, and not if it doesn’t sell. And it can only be sold to an out-of-state buyer (through their FFL), another dealer, or law enforcement — never a Virginia resident. Be certain you are ready to part with it, and contact us first so we can talk through pricing and expectations.
$ Commission & Fee Breakdown
Two fees apply to every consignment sale: our commission and GunBroker’s platform listing fee. Both are deducted from the final sale price before proceeds are returned to you.
If you have a firearm on consignment with us that will be classified as an "assault firearm" under HB217/SB749 on July 1, 2026, please read carefully:
- We cannot return (transfer back) a covered item to you after July 1. State law would prohibit the transfer β even though it is your firearm and was consigned before the deadline.
- We can still sell a covered consigned item after July 1 β but only to a buyer who can lawfully receive it: an out-of-state buyer (through their FFL), another dealer, or law enforcement β not a Virginia resident. If it doesnβt sell, it still cannot come back to you.
- If you have any doubt about whether you want to keep it, we strongly recommend you reclaim (transfer back) the item before July 1 while we still legally can. Not sure if your item is covered? Use our interactive AWB legality check.
